After this point, Microsoft will cease providing security updates, non-security updates, bug fixes, and technical support for these products. This poses a significant risk to your business, as your data, applications, and infrastructure will be exposed to security vulnerabilities and potential regulatory non-compliance.
For eligible Microsoft customers who have Software Assurance through an Enterprise Agreement, there is an option to acquire Extended Security Updates (ESUs) for Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 and SQL Server 2012. However, it’s essential to note that this can translate into substantial costs, potentially amounting to millions of dollars over a three-year period.
